ILCC Service Corps

Illinois Campus Compact is beginning an AmeriCorps State Program. This program is for college students at ILCC member institutions who are passionate and committed to service. Selected students have one year to service at least 300 hours building capacity for campus and community partnerships . Once these hours are completed the student will receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. This program rewards students for being civically engaged and giving back to their community. Tyson Foods 2018 Summer Community Internship Program, A Happy Ending

On Friday, Illinois Campus Compact gathered our Tyson Foods Summer Community Interns and their supervisors to recap on their summers and all the work they accomplished.  Throughout the summer we asked the interns to share information and photos about their days working at community organizations across Chicago. These photos showcased events, programming, and capacity building activities that the interns participated in. From these posts we learned a lot about what their days looked like, weather it was working closely with community members or creating databases to help a program run smoother. Tyson Foods Summer Community Internship Kickoff!

Yesterday, Illinois Campus Compact (ILCC) kicked off our Tyson Foods Summer Community Internship Program. This internship program is a partnership between Campus Compact and Tyson Foods to provide an invaluable opportunity for select college students to gain professional experience while making a positive impact in the community. ILCC is hiring a full-time Assistant Director!

Illinois Campus Compact (ILCC) is looking for a full time Assistant Director.  This position will work closely with our AmeriCorps VISTA program, ILCC member programming, and provide administrative support for the organization. The Assistant Director provides leadership in the development and implementation of programs, events, and member services as well as monitors progress toward the organization’s mission and strategic objectives. Other essential responsibilities include writing communications, evaluative reporting, providing technical assistance to member campuses, supervising additional staff and interns, and developing partnerships with other organizations.
