We’re excited to be working with Tyson Foods to enable 20 incredible Chicago-area organizations to hire student interns this summer! Whether it’s through empowering the disenfranchised, feeding the hungry, or preparing for a sustainable future, each of these organizations are contributing to a stronger Chicagoland.

FAQ

How long is the internship?

The internship is eight consecutive weeks in length, from June 4 to July 27, 2018 for Iowa Campus Compact participants and June 18 to August 10, 2018 for Illinois Campus Compact participants.

What is the deadline to apply?

All organizations are required to have hired an intern by April. HOWEVER, the hiring process is first come first serve, and most organizations will have hired a student intern much earlier than that. To be safe, students interested in this program should consider submitting their application BEFORE the end of January!

Are graduate students eligible?

No. The Program is only open to undergraduate students.

What is Campus Compact’s role in the Tyson Foods Summer Job Program?

Iowa and Illinois Campus Compact manage the Community Summer Jobs Program and is the face-to face contact between Tyson Foods, students, and nonprofits. Key responsibilities range from assisting nonprofits with applying, qualifying nonprofits, conducting summer education programs and activities, and evaluation process.
